While the eight and nine year olds were using
our emails to illustrate their Geography or French lessons.
The younger ones of Marie-Jeanne class were doing more hands-on
activities. Here are some of their photos.
While in Japan...
The children got to enjoy their new
knowledge of Japanese culture and were
trying on Kimonos in the classroom.
Are mums working in Japan?
What are the houses made of?
Were you scared during the earthquake?... were some of
the questions sent by the young pupils. We received quite a
few questions about hi-tech toilets too. |

While in Vietnam...
The children got to try their own
hand-made cone hats.
The children also had the visit of a Vietnamese
woman from Dalat who was visiting France for three months to
learn French. Vietnam had no secrets for them after that. |

While in Cambodia...
The children had a go at eating with chopsticks.
The children followed our trip to Cambodia
with a lot of interest and surprised us by asking questions
about landmines and how children of their age are living in
Cambodia. |

While in Thailand...
The children cooked a Thai recipe: a mango cake.
Our visit in Thailand coincinded with the
release of "Finding Nemo" set in the Australian reef.
Transparent waters and multicolor fishes, we were all on the
same wave length. |

While in India...
The children were fascinated by our emails about tigers, bears,
birds, cows and elephants and made these elephant models.
